- 4/11 - Meredith's Machine Quilted Art Quilt
Here is an art quilt that I made following a colored pencil drawing that Meredith drew. It's about 30"x20" and is raw edge applique/quilting. I used an enlarged copy of her design to transfer the pieces to fabric. I secured the pieces of Kona Cotton with Heat'n Bond, then stitched them down free-motion style. I stitched circles in the black border to quilt it.
- 04/07 - Meredith's Hope wallhanging
- 03/29 - Block-a-Palooza 'reject' blocks quilt
- 03/20 Judy's Birthday Teacup Wallhanging - This quilt was made from a foundation paper-piecing pattern called Quilts in a Row from Billie Lauder. Each teacup has well over 20 pieces to it.
- Linda and Judy's Mug Mat/Rug - What's a mug mat? A mug mat should be long enough to hold a cup and a snack. I used Ryan's tutorial to make it. I am finally learning to make some small projects instead of all massive ones! FYI, the purple mug mat was for my mom-in-law.
- Jeff and Erika's Wallhanging - This was made from a Cherry House pattern "I Do." It seemed only appropriate to make it for someone who is getting married. LouAnne and I made it to go along with the quilt we are making. She and I pieced it and I appliqued the circles. At first I applied the circles with Heat'n Bond, but they started peeling off. Heated them up and took them all off, then used needle-turn applique the next time. They look a lot better now. It's quilted by 'stitch in the ditch' method.
